We craft in 10k, 14k, and 18k gold (yellow, white, or rose), platinum, or any precious metal of your choice. Diamonds can be natural or lab-grown, in whatever shape, carat weight, and clarity makes sense for your budget. Family stones are welcome too — we rework them all the time.

A men's band has to be comfortable enough that you forget you're wearing it. Comfort-fit profiles in brushed, polished, hammered, satin, or two-tone finishes. If you've seen something elsewhere or have a different style in mind, we'll work with you to build it.
Available in 10k, 14k, and 18k gold, platinum, sterling silver, and alternative metals like tantalum, titanium, and tungsten, useful options for clients who prefer not to wear gold. Inside-band engraving in your own handwriting or in classical script is included on every piece.

We work with all of them: sapphires, emeralds, rubies, tanzanite, tourmaline, aquamarine, amethyst, citrine, garnet, opal, peridot, topaz, pearls, and rarer stones like spinel, alexandrite, and Paraiba. Precious or semi-precious, natural or lab-grown, set in whatever style fits your budget and taste.
Ideal for birthstone pieces, anniversary rings, family cluster rings holding a stone for each child, or just because you love a particular colour. If you have a stone passed down from family, bring it in. We rework heirloom stones all the time, and we can also source a specific stone to your colour, cut, and origin specifications.

Built From Your Sketch, Stone, or Idea
If a piece in our collection is close to what you imagine but not exactly right, or if you're starting from a sketch, a family stone, or a single sentence, we'll build it. Custom design is how the workshop runs every day. It's not an upcharged service.
The process is straightforward. We start with a conversation, move to CAD design, send you renderings for approval, and only begin bench work once you've signed off on the final design.
From Sketch to Finished Piece in Approximately 7 to 10 Days
Because every step happens in our own workshop, standard custom designs are typically finished in about 7 to 10 days, not the six to eight weeks you usually wait at boutique retailers. More complex work, or pieces involving custom-cut or specially sourced stones, are quoted with their own timeline at the start of the consultation.

With most of our custom pieces, pricing may be similar whether you choose a ready-made piece from our collection or our hand crafted designs. The cost reflects the metal, the stone, and the hours at the bench. Nothing else.

Forty-Five Years at the Same Bench
Design Jewellers opened in 1980 as the first jewellery store at West Edmonton Mall, and we've been making jewellery by hand, in the same room, ever since. More than forty-five years at the same bench, by a team of professional talent including but not limited to master goldsmiths, stone setters, and an expert design team.
CAD, casting, hand finishing, stone setting, and final polish all happen under one roof. Nothing is outsourced, and every piece passes a strict internal review before it leaves the shop.
Every step happens under our roof:
- CAD design and wax carving: initial design files, prototyping, and approval renderings before any metal is touched.
- Casting and metalwork: in-house casting in 10k, 14k, and 18k gold, sterling silver, platinum, or any precious metal of your choice.
- Stone setting: prong, bezel, channel, pavé, halo, tension, and any other setting style you have in mind, all set by hand at our bench.
- Hand finishing and polishing: brushed, satin, hammered, and mirror finishes, applied by the same goldsmith who shaped the piece.
- Multi-stage quality review: every piece is checked for metal integrity, prong security, symmetry, and finish before it ships.

Distance shouldn't change the quality of the experience. Your piece ships fully insured, fully tracked, and discreetly packaged straight to your address in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, Brossard, Saint-Lambert, or anywhere else across the Greater Montreal region.
