It sounds like a marketing tagline, but for us, it is actually a classification. It is the way we distinguish the standard retail pieces from the work that is truly ours, the pieces born, bred, and polished right here in Edmonton.
There is a reality in the jewellery industry that most clients do not know about. A significant amount of "custom" work isn’t actually made by the people selling it. In many stores, the person behind the counter is a retailer, not a creator. They take your idea, send a sketch to a factory overseas, and wait a few weeks for a parcel to arrive.
We chose a different path a long time ago.
Luxury by Design is our promise that we didn’t just buy the piece; we built it.
When you see that designation on a ring or a pendant, it means the entire lifecycle of that object happened inside our walls at West Edmonton Mall. It means the design was engineered by our own CAD specialists sitting at our computers. It means the wax was printed in our lab, and the gold was cast and hand-finished by our goldsmiths in the workshop just behind the showroom.
We have been a fixture in this mall since 1980. Over the decades, it would have been easier (and cheaper) to outsource everything and just focus on sales. But we kept our workshop because we believe that if you want something done right, especially something as permanent as an heirloom, you have to control the process yourself.
So, when we say a piece is "Luxury by Design," we aren’t just talking about the diamond quality or the price. We are talking about its origin. It means you are wearing a piece of Alberta craftsmanship that never left our hands until it reached yours.
That is the difference between buying jewellery and commissioning art.
