The Trade-In Process
When you are ready to upgrade, bring in your original diamond purchased from Design Jewellers along with its paperwork. Our in-house gemologists will inspect the stone and provide a trade-in value that can be applied toward your new diamond purchase.
Bring In Your Diamond
Visit us at West Edmonton Mall with your original diamond and any documentation you have, including receipts, grading reports, or original paperwork.
Expert Evaluation
Our in-house gemologists and goldsmiths will carefully inspect your stone, assess its current condition, and evaluate its trade-in value based on the current diamond market.
Choose Your Upgrade
Browse our diamond selection and choose a stone that represents your next chapter. Your trade-in value will be applied directly toward the purchase price of your new diamond.
Custom Setting or Ready-Made
Set your new diamond in an existing ring, choose from our ready-made collection, or work with our goldsmiths to design a completely custom piece around your upgraded stone.
Trade-In Requirements
To ensure a smooth and transparent process, please review the following requirements before bringing in your diamond.

| Documentation | Original receipt, grading reports, and paperwork must be presented at time of trade-in |
| Condition | The diamond must pass inspection, remain unaltered, and be in its original state |
| Diamond Type | Only natural earth-mined diamonds qualify. Lab-grown diamonds may be excluded from the program |
| Upgrade Value | The new diamond must be of equal or greater value than the trade-in credit applied |
| Trade-In Value | Determined by our experts based on current market conditions and the condition of your stone |
Important Notes
Promotional diamonds or stones that fall below our minimum quality standards may not be eligible for the program. We reserve the right to accept or decline any trade-in request at our discretion. All evaluations are final and conducted in-store only.
